How we evaluate on-line pharmacies

These are the main criteria for evaluating a pharmacy or physicians office, listed in order of importance. More important criteria carry heavier weight in determining the aggregate rating.

• Communication - Must be willing and able to respond to consumer questions and/or problems in a timely manner.
  
• Direct Liaison - Someone on our staff has open lines of communication with someone on their staff
  
• Responsiveness - Notifies a member of our staff in the event of price, service or discount changes.
  
• Longevity - Has been in business long enough to insure their reliability.
  
• Consulting Fees- (if any) Applies to physicians only
  
• Selection of Medications (does not include physicians, who generally have a FULL selection of medications)
  
• Medication Prices - Are true discounts offered across-the-board (or only on selected items)
  
• Shipping Fees - Cost of shipping (not rated for shipping costs for optional shipping methods)
  
• Feedback From PRX Members - A very important aspect of our criteria.
  
• Speed of Delivery - How long it takes for an order to be delivered from the time it is placed.
  
• Marketing - If a company uses SPAM to market their their service, they receive the VERY lowest ratings.
  
• Insurance or lost shipment policy - Is insurance offered or included? (applies mostly to international resources).
  
• Methods of Payment accepted - Acceptance of credit/debit cards rate much higher than those who only accept money orders or western Union (i.e. cash).

Each Category is rated on a -5 to +5 to arrive at an aggregate total. Any resource with a negative overall rating is considered a high risk (do not order)
